Maxi Sucks at Titles So...

... We're Just Gonna Pretend this is Titled Something Really Punny & Clever.

Um, what is this? I have no idea. Kind of a birthday present thingie for a friend. Or friend(s) plural, since another one happens to have their birthday soon too. It's been difficult keeping up with birthdays these days, but since River is one of my most closest and dearest friends (and since I conveniently had the last week off from work) I wanted to make a thing. A... you know... thingie of sorts. Which is basically this. And I don't know what it is. I think it tried to be a comic, but I'm not sure. Went for the same whimsical kinda humour present in another similar comic birthday gift I did for another person's birthday. Which you probably remember, since I hardly post anything on DA ahahahahaaaaaa.

I originally intended to go for a simplier spin on my style in order to save time but... somehow it ended up coming out more cute and squishy than usual? Then I added in the inking because it looked bad without it. Then I added in backgrounds because the white emptiness was 3unsettling5me. So I actually ended up doing way more work than I intended anyway???? Haaaaaaa.

I wasn't gonna post this originally but it was suggested by a couple of people that I should, and since River likes seeing friend art posted, I wanted to do it for him. Originally I was gonna post it on tumblr because raisins and because I have lower standards for the stuff I post on tumblr but I didn't like how tumblr forced me to chop up my image so I decided that in order for this to be posted in its FULL RESOLUTION GLORY I would have better luck posting it to DA. Which is basically a graveyard at this point.

I must apologise again for lack of Justice Heart updates. I KNOW THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE ALL WAITING FOR. Well, that and replies to all those comments I haven't done yet. Still trying to sort through my social awkwardness and stupid stuff. I dunno. I have no excuses though, so I'm sorry! I feel bad neglecting this place and all the people in it. Time has been doing a number on me lately and I've been a bit stressed 'n depressed about the going-ons in my life but I'm slowly trying to edge myself back into things again! Took a week vacation recently that allowed me empty my mind a bit and just relax, which I think I really needed. I do owe you all an apology though, for the umpteenth time! I definitely need to get better at my social skills and time management, especially since my job takes up so much of the latter. Hope you have all been doing well as of late!

Oh yeah. The weird looking smeargle thing is my pokesona or whatever kids call them these days (you know, like how I used to use Wolfy for this stuff before it started getting awkward with the character and all so I decided to make a proper one for... weirdness like this). Not sure if I mentioned that on DA before but, uh... well, there you go. The other pokemon characters obviously belong to their respective owners, and they are also pokesona things, for lack of a better term. And Pokemon itself is a franchise that I obviously do not own. Just thought I should remind everyone anyway. And furthermore...
